1. Replace Your Furnace Filter

Air filters play an important role in keeping your HVAC system clean. That’s because it is designed to keep dust, debris, and airborne particles out of your furnace. During the winter, when you rely on your heating system more and your furnace is in constant use, the filter needs cleaned more. I grew up in Logan County and graduated from Benjamin Logan High School in 1974. After living in Athens and Toledo to attend college, I returned to Bellefontaine, where I was a sports editor at The Bellefontaine Examiner for two years, then taught English at Bellefontaine High School 14 years.

After living a total of 10 years in Columbus Grove and Springfield as a principal, I returned back to the area in 2016. My wife and I are working on our fifth historic home renovation. Upon retirement in 2013, I sold motorcycles, pole barns and worked as a job employment services director with Ohio Means Jobs.

Today I am sharing with you a few ways you can honor Veterans Day. There are plenty of gestures you can take to make a Veteran’s day and to perform an act of kindness. Here are are a few ways to honor Veterans Day and all those that serve our country!

Whitney grew up at the Lake and graduated from Indian Lake High School in 2006. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Bowling Green State University in 2010. After college, she moved to Columbus where she was an ongoing case worker for Franklin County Children Service. For the past five years she has worked at Express in their corporate office.

Whitney became a licensed real estate salesperson in April, 2014, and has recently moved back to home to Indian Lake.
